We further acknowledge that experiences of exclusion and marginalization were not created by this recent presidential election, but rather have only heightened in wake of the election of a president elect who launched a campaign based on anti immigrant, racist and xenophobic sentiment. fake oakleys This hateful conduct counters who we should be as an inclusive campus community. They had nothing to play for. But played their best game of the season.

If none of that adds up, neither does Dolphins 20, Patriots 10, which was flickering on the scoreboard at Sun Life Stadium on Sunday as Miami put an exclamation point on a season littered with nothing but question marks.

“Man, I wish we could have played like this all year,” receiver Jarvis Landry said.

If they had, they wouldn’t be packing today for a long off season and seventh in a row out of the playoffs, this time finishing 6 10 and last in the AFC East.

If they had, their reward would not be the eighth overall pick in the draft.

If they had, there wouldn’t have been a scene like this in the postgame locker room: Owner Stephen Ross was talking about finding the right coach for 2016 when interrupted by the players chanting, “Dan Campbell! Dan Campbell!” for their interim coach, who replaced Joe Philbin after four games.

Dawn came Sunday with the realization of sweeping change, starting with Chris Grier sliding into the general manager role occupied by Dennis Hickey. By early afternoon, armies of fans wearing Tom Brady jerseys funneled in, threatening a takeover of what they consider Gillette Stadium South, all the while envisioning the No. 1 AFC seed.

But the Dolphins matched the Patriots (12 4) blow for blow in the first half, then dominated the second. That allowed Dolfans a rare moment to gloat this season when the JumboTron showed Patriots fans shuffling out with a few minutes left.

It was such a convincing victory that afterward, quarterback Tom Brady was asked if the Patriots were giving 100 percent effort. “Absolutely,” he said. The Patriots managed 196 total yards while conceding 438 to Miami.

“It’s a bittersweet moment, man, knowing how good we could have been,” cornerback Brice McCain said.

The Dolphins opened the season by beating a playoff team (Washington) and ended it the same way. As for those pesky 14 games in between

“That’s the type of season we had,” safety Michael Thomas said.

With both teams fielding depleted lineups, the Dolphins at least walked away with a glimmer of hope for 2016. Rookie DeVante Parker had 106 yards in receptions, scored a touchdown and set up another with the play of the day, a 46 yard catch. He and Landry combined for 11 receptions for 178 yards.

Ryan Tannehill, under fire during a season in which he had a mediocre 88.7 passer rating, outplayed Brady, who was under siege throughout the day and yanked for safety’s sake in the final few minutes. Cheap Jerseys from china Tannehill was 25 of 38 for 350 yards, including a 2 yard touchdown to tight end Jordan Cameron. Brady was 12 of 21 for 134 yards.

“It’s always fun to hit Brady,” said defensive end Olivier Vernon, who teamed with Derrick Shelby to sack Brady twice within a three play span to cement the victory.

The Dolphins, relying heavily on a no huddle, had just taken a 17 10 lead with an 82 yard drive keyed by a back to back strikes by Tannehill. First, he found Landry for 18 yards. Then, he flung a deep ball to Parker, racing down the right sideline. Cornerback Logan Ryan appeared to be in position to intercept, but Parker took it away for a 46 yard reception. Two plays later, Cameron beat safety Devin McCourty for his touchdown with 6:58 left.
